What I'm doing right now
The New Order concert in Melbourne was fantastic. It didn’t start great, there was something screwed up with one of the speaker towers. But the crowd let them know and it was fixed after the first song. I hadn’t really thought about it before but New Order have some great sing-along songs. The set was excellent. It started slow and built up to an awesome finale with "True Faith" and "Blue Monday" (of course). The encore was a couple of Joy Division songs. It was a brilliant night. This was the second trip to Melbourne after the The The concert in November last year.
Because I don’t have enough in-progress projects (/s) I’ve been teaching myself machine learning. It’s going surprisingly well and I’m really enjoying it. I think partly because I have decided to use Rust. I’m documenting my progress here
Job hunting is picking up. I’m getting interviews now which is an improvement. Hopefully one of them pans out. I’m really keen on one of the roles. 🤞
My wife and I finished Severance. Season 2 wasn’t quite as good as season 1 but it's still an excellent show. I really hope there’s a plan and they’re not making it up as they go. The rule of thirds isn’t just a rule, it’s the law.
We are rewatching Dark until something new somes along.
