As soon as I started watching I knew it was from Alberto Mielgo. He wrote and directed The Witness for Netflix’s anthology Love, Death & Robots which I absolutely loved.
As someone commented on the Youtube video, if Marathon sucks at least we got this!
As for Marathon; I love the art style and the design. It gives me Oni flashbacks which is a Bungie game I really enjoyed1 and which everyone seems to have forgotten. I played the original Marathon to death but I get zero vibes from those games. I’ve never played an extraction shooter so I don’t really know what to expect, but I’ll give this a go on release.
I loved the reveal trailer more than the actual game. They toned down the violence quite a bit when the game was released.↩
